4 Days After Revolver Accident Actor Govinda Discharged from Hospital

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Govinda, who was injured in the leg when his licensed revolver went off accidentally four days back, was discharged from a hospital in Mumbai on Friday.

Govinda, 60, who is a member of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, underwent a surgery on Tuesday at a private hospital for the bullet injury.

He came out of the hospital on a wheelchair with a cast on his left leg along with his family members including his wife Sunita Ahuja and daughter Tina Ahuja. He greeted the media persons and his fans with folded hands and said, “I thank members of the press, the authorities and my fans who love me and whose wishes kept me safe, I thank them all.”

His wife Sunita Ahuja told reporters that Govinda has been advised to rest for at least six weeks.

Along with local police the Mumbai crime branch has started enquiry into the incident.

According to the doctors treating him, the bullet hit him below his left knee and for it he had got 8-10 stitches.
