4 Killed in Exchange of Fire Between Rival Groups in Punjab’s Batala

Chandigarh: Four persons were shot dead as two groups of villagers fired at each other in Punjab’s Batala over an old rivalry on Sunday night.

The exchange of fire took place in Batala’s Vithwan village. Thirteen people in the two groups shot at each other, said police sources.

Two people from each group died in the firing. Eight persons were injured in the shootout and were admitted to hospital.
