5 Arrested for Attacking BJP Yuva Morcha President in Pre-Poll Violence in Balasore

Balasore: Five persons were arrested by the personnel of the Bansada police station in Balasore district on Friday for attacking president of Odisha BJP Yuva Morcha, Abhilash Panda.

According to reports, Abhilash Panda was allegedly attacked while he was in Chandabali to supervise the campaign process of his party in the area. It is alleged that miscreants attacked Panda and his accomplices with sharp weapons at Khapuria square near Karanjamal in the Balasore district.

Panda and his associates were injured in the attack. The attackers also damaged Panda’s vehicle. The injured were rushed to the Basudevpur Community Health Centre.

Based on a complaint filed by BJP workers, police arrested five persons alleged to be involved in the attack. Efforts are on to nab the other persons involved in the attack.
