5 Terrorists Killed in Overnight Encounter in Jammu & Kashmir

Srinagar: Five terrorists were slain in an overnight gunfight with security forces in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter took place at Samno in the Nehama area of Kulgam.

The bodies of the five slain terrorists were sighted through drones. The area of encounter is being sanitized and efforts are on to retrieve the bodies of the terrorists.

The area of encounter has been put under a tight security cordon.

The operation against the armed terrorists in the area was initially suspended during the night. The exchange of fire resumed early Friday. In the early morning the house where the terrorists were hiding caught fire in the exchange of fire. The terrorists were forced to come out of the burning house.
