6 Dead, 17 Injured as Bus-Truck Collide in Maharashtra

Mumbai: Six persons lost their lives and 17 others were injured when a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation bus and a private truck collided in Maharashtra’s Jalna district on Friday morning.

The accident happened near Shahapur on the Wadigodri-Jalna route.

The state transport bus was travelling from Gevrai to Jalna, while the orange loaded truck was coming from Ambad at the time of the accident.

With the help of locals, police rescued the injured persons and rushed them to hospitals in Ambad and Jalna. Many of the injured were pulled out by breaking windows of the bus.
