60-Yr-Old Man Rapes Class 9 Girl in Jajpur Dist; Arrested

Jajpur: A 60-year-old man was arrested by the police for allegedly raping a girl studying in class 9 in Jajpur district.

As per the police complaint lodged by the victim’s family at the Mangalpur police station in Jajpur district, on Sunday morning, a grovery shop owner named Rabinarayan Sahu sexually assaulted her while she was at his shop to buy some grocery items.

He dragged her inside his house and allegedly raped her.

When the girl did not return home for long, her mother reached Sahu’s shop and found the victim crying there. Sahu was also absconding. The girl informed her mother about the ordeal.

The girl’s mother along with other family members reached the Mangalapur police station and registered a complaint against Sahu.

The police registered a case and arrested the 60-year-old grocery shop owner from a place where he was hiding.
