7 Women Sitting on Roadside Crushed to Death as Lorry Rams Parked Bus in TN

Chennai: Seven women were crushed to death in Tamil Nadu’s Tirupathur district when a speeding truck hit a parked mini-bus from the rear.

The mini-bus was transporting back 19 people, including 15 women, from Dharmasala. The women met the fatal accident while they were sitting in front of the mini-bus on the side median after its tyre got punctured.

At that time a speeding lorry hit the stationary mini-bus from the backside. The mini-bus fell on the women. Seven of them died on the spot.

The rest were admitted to the Tirupathur government hospital for treatment. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin inquired about the accident and instructed to provide necessary treatment for those injured.
