70 Platoons of Police Deployed for Snana Jatra of Sri Jagannath in Puri Tomorrow

Puri: Around 70 platoon police forces are being deployed in Puri for the Sana Jatra of Lord Jagannath on Saturday.

According to sources, the Snana Jatra ‘Pahandi Bije’ of the deities from the garbhagriha to the Snana Mandap will start at around 4 am and will continue till 6 am. At the Snana Bedi the the Pushpanjali will be held at 6 am. The ritualistic bath of the deities will be held at 2 pm. It will be followed by Hatibesa that will start from 2:40 p.m.

Sahan Mela Darshan will be held from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm and Bahuda Pahandi will be held from 10:30 pm. Devotees will be allowed to enter the temple through Singha Dwara and they will exit through the other three gates.

A barricaded route has been set up from the Market square for the devotees. Devotees with tickets will enter through the barricade at the south gate of Srimandir for Pahandi Darshan. As many as four SPs, 12 additional SPs, 35 inspectors will be deployed for the crowd management and traffic control during the Snana Jatra in Puri.
