Accused of Airhostess Murder Ends Life in Police Custody in Mumbai

Mumbai: Vikram Atwal, the arrested accused in the air hostess murder case in Mumbai committed suicide by hanging himself using his pants while in the lockup at Andheri police station.

He had allegedly slit the throat of the 23-year-old trainee flight attendant inside her flat. Her body was found in her apartment in Andheri East on Monday morning.

Accused Atwal was a cleaning staff of the apartment. The victim from Raipur in Chhattisgarh and had moved to Mumbai six months back.

According to the investigation, Atwal murdered the victim because he was offended by the way the deceased spoke to him during a previous argument.
