Case Filed Against Allu Arjun for Unpermitted Visit to Andhra MLA’s House

Amaravati: Tollywood actor Allu Arjun found himself in legal trouble after visiting the house of his friend and YSRCP MLA Silpa Ravi in Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh. The visit resulted in a large gathering of thousands of people on the road, leading to allegations of violating the election code.

Silpa Ravi, seeking renomination from Nandyal, is a prominent figure as the state gears up for the polls on May 13, alongside the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh. Allu Arjun’s impromptu visit to the MLA’s residence without prior permission from the constituency’s Returning Officer prompted authorities to take action.

On the final day of campaigning, the popular actor made an appearance at Silpa Ravi’s house to show his support. Fans flocked to catch a glimpse of their favourite star, who graciously waved from the balcony, amid chants of ‘Pushpa, Pushpa.’

Silpa Ravi, whose real name is Singareddy Ravichandra Kishore Reddy, seeks re-election as a ruling party nominee. However, the visit led to legal consequences. A case was registered under Section 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant) of the Indian Penal Code at the local Two Town police station. The enforcement of Section 144 of the Election Code and Section 31 of the AP Police Act further compounded the situation, resulting in charges against both the actor and the MLA.

Allu Arjun expressed gratitude to the people of Nandyal for their warm reception and extended his best wishes to Silpa Ravi during the elections. Silpa Ravi reciprocated the sentiment, acknowledging the actor’s unwavering support and friendship.
