Puri: The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will conduct the laser scanning of Ratna Bhandar of Shree Jagannath temple in Puri on Tuesday to assess the cracks for repair work.
The Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee (SJTMC) had earlier approved the use of laser scanning technology to assess and repair cracks in the Srimandir Ratna Bhandar, the temple’s treasure trove. The ASI is scheduled to conduct the laser after November 28, following Kartika Purnima.
The ASI will submit the report of the laser scanning to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration for further course of action. The ASI will also take up laser scanning of the main temple and other temples of different deities.
