Balasore Rural Works Chief Engineer Under Vigilance Scanner; Raids At 11 Locations

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials on Friday launched simultaneous house searches at 11 locations linked to NV Harihara Rao, Chief Engineer in the office of the Chief Construction Engineer, Rural Works Circle, Balasore to investigate on allegations of possession of disproportionate assets by him.

Raids were conducted at properties linked to him in Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, Balasore, Keonjhar, and Phulbani.

Odisha Vigilance officials comprising 11 DSPs, 7 Inspectors, 11 ASIs, and other supporting staff are involved in these search operations on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.

The searches are being conducted at the following locations linked to Harihara Rao:

*A double-storeyed building over plot No. 4592 at Bhabinipur in Berhampur.

*A single-storeyed building on plot No. 284, at Patrapada in Bhubaneswar.

*A three BHK flat located at Spectrum Green Apartment Flat No. 205 in Baidyanathpur, Kamapalli, Berhampur.

*The paternal house of NV Harihara Rao located at Olenbatch Nagar, Phulbani.

*The office chamber of Rao located at RW Circle, Balasore.

*The government quarter of Rao located at RW Circle Campus, Balasore.

*Rao’s office chamber located at RW Circle, Keonjhar.

The residential quarter of Sri Rao located at the RW Campus, Keonjhar.

*A house of his relative located at Tulasi Nagar, Berhampur.

Another house of his relative located at Shanti Nagar, Berhampur.

*The house of his associate located at Baldevjew Colony, Keonjhar.
