Bhadrak Triple Murder: Minor Boy Detained for Double Murder Also Killed His Grandma

Bhadrak: The 14-year-old boy, who was earlier detained on charges of killing a woman and her daughter has reportedly confessed before the police that he also murdered his grandmother.

The accused committed the three murders at Raimani village in Odisha’s Bhadrak district. Bhadrak rural police have detained the accused for interrogation and investigation process is underway.

Bodies of a woman and her daughter with injury marks were found from a field in the village on Wednesday. The boy was detained by police on charges of their murder.

On Thursday, the body of the detained boy’s grandmother was also discovered.

According to sources, in an inebriated condition, the teenager killed his grandmother, when she refused to give him some money.

The accused juvenile is said to have confessed to his crime of killing the trio. It is suspected that the boy may have also killed the mother-daughter duo on Tuesday.

The victims were Mini Munda (7) and her mother Sukanti Munda (35) of Ganijang Hasinpur Adivasi sahi under Bhadrak rural police station. The body of Sukanti Munda was found in Baniagudi forest while her daughter’s body was found lying under a bridge. Locals found the minor boy sitting next to the dead body of Sukanti.

The minor boy confessed to having raped the woman and hacked her to death. He also killed her daughter as she was a witness to the incident.

Later he is said to have killed his grandmother Sumati by strangling her with a saree as she refused to give him some cash.
