Street Brawl Erupts Between BJP and Congress Youth Wings in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A scuffle broke out today in Odisha’s capital between BJP’s youth wing and Congress’s student wing over Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s speech in Parliament yesterday.

The clash occurred in the afternoon at Master Canteen Square, resulting in injuries to several participants and commuters, as well as damage to vehicles.

The conflict ignited when BJP Yuva Morcha activists staged a protest against Gandhi at the location. Allegedly, BJP activists threw stones and cow dung at a large poster of Gandhi at Congress Bhawan, near Master Canteen Square.

In response, Congress student wing members resisted, leading to a stone-throwing exchange between the two groups, even in the presence of police.

BJP activists accused the Congress student wing (NSUI) of attacking them during their peaceful demonstration, resulting in seven BJP Yuva Morcha members being injured and hospitalised at Capital Hospital.
