BSE Asks Schools To Prepare Own Question Papers for Class X Half-Yearly Exams

Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has clarified that it will not provide question papers for the Class X half-yearly exams for the 2024-25 academic session.

The BSE has asked school authorities to prepare their own question papers for the Class X half-yearly exams. Last year the BSE had prepared the question papers and supplied them to the schools.

As per the recent BSE directive to all District Education Officers (DEOs), schools are now free to prepare question papers for the Class X half-yearly examination or make alternative arrangements within the stipulated time frame.

The BSE has asked DEOs to inform all schools under their jurisdiction about the new arrangement, ensuring no confusion arises.

The letter reads: “The question papers for the said examination for last year i.e. during 2023-24 had been prepared & supplied to the District Education Office point by the B.S.E., Odisha. However, the BSE is making it clear that the question papers for the current session shall not be supplied by the Board. All secondary schools are free to prepare their own question papers or make necessary arrangements for the conduct of the examination within the time period as mentioned in the breakup of syllabus notified by the Board.”
