BSF Recovers Powerful IEDs Planted By Maoists In Koraput Dist

Koraput: Two powerful Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) planted by Maoists were recovered by the personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) in the Machhkund area of Odisha’s Koraput district on Thursday.

These IEDs were unearthed during an operation initiated from the COB Ankadeli, 65 Battalion, targeting the general area of village Kadamguda under Machhkund Police Station in Koraput (Odisha).

A contingent comprising BSF troops and the Bomb Disposal Team was dispatched to the designated area to conduct a thorough search operation in the forest terrain.

During this meticulous search, two powerful IEDs were discovered. They were concealed within the forest area. The Bomb Disposal Team diffused the IEDs thereby neutralising a significant threat.
