CBI Arrests Delhi CM Kejriwal in Liquor Policy Case

New Delhi: The CBI arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday in the liquor policy case. This arrest came before a hearing in the Supreme Court challenging the stay order on Kejriwal’s bail by the Delhi High Court.

The arrest came after the Rouse Avenue Court allowed the CBI to examine Kejriwal in court and produce the documents they had for seeking his arrest.

On Wednesday, the CBI sought Kejriwal’s custody before the Rouse Avenue Court. The court pointed out that Kejriwal was not formally arrested yet by the CBI.

The ED arrested Kejriwal on March 21 in the money laundering case linked to the alleged liquor policy scam on March 21. He is now lodged in Tihar Jail.
