CM-Designate Mohan Charan Majhi Visits Outgoing CM Naveen, Invites Him to Oath Taking Ceremony

Bhubaneswar: A few hours before his oath-taking ceremony, Odisha Chief Minister-designate Mohan Charan Majhi visited to former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday.

Speaking to the press after his meeting with Patnaik at Naveen Niwas, Majhi said, “I came to invite the former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to seek his blessings and invite him to the swearing-in ceremony.”

“Naveen Babu has consented to attend the oath-taking ceremony,” he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend this oath-taking ceremony of the first BJP CM of Odisha. Several Union Ministers and chief ministers of BJP-ruled states, are to attend this swearing-in ceremony of the new Odisha Chief Minister.

Earlier on the day, Odisha Chief Minister-designate garlanded the statues of prominent Odia stalwarts at different places in Bhubaneswar. He was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister-designates KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida and other BJP leaders.
