Congress Likely to Launch Bharat Jodo Yatra 2.0 in January 2024: Reports

New Delhi: The Congress party is gearing up for the second phase of its ambitious outreach program, Bharat Jodo Yatra, with Rahul Gandhi once again taking the helm, as per media reports on Tuesday. Sources close to the party have revealed plans for a “hybrid” yatra, starting in January 2024, potentially from a Northeastern state and covering an east-west route.

This iteration of the yatra, dubbed Bharat Jodo Yatra 2.0, aims to build on the momentum of the first leg, which successfully traversed the country from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. To boost its political impact in the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the party is considering inviting prominent figures from the opposition ranks to join the march.

Similar to the previous yatra, Rahul Gandhi is expected to address public meetings held daily at the culmination point of each stage. The Congress hopes to leverage the yatra’s platform to connect with voters, address key concerns like unemployment and inflation, and solidify its position as a leading force in the opposition alliance.
