Court Notice for Kangana Ranaut Over “India Got Freedom in 2014” Statement

Bhopal: The special MP-MLA court in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh has issued notices on BJP MP Kangana Ranaut on a petition challenging her remark that India got real independence after 2014, reported India Today.

During the hearing of a petition filed by advocate Amit Kumar Sahu, the Special Court Judge Vishweshwari Mishra issued the notices to the actor-turned-BJP MP.

In his petition, Sahu objected to Kangana’s remark that India got its freedom as a ‘bheekh’ (alms) and she claimed that India got freedom in the true sense after 2014.

According to Sahu, he had initially filed a petition regarding the mater in 2021 at the Adhartal police station. After no action was taken on the complaint he then moved the High Court.

The next hearing of the case will be on November 5.
