Puri: For the inspection of the Ratna Bhandar of the Srimandir in Puri, devotees will not be allowed to have darshan of the deities from 1 pm on Sept 18.
As per the schedule, the doors of the temple will be open at 2:00 am (the dwarafita ritual will be held at 2 am) on September 18 and the Mangala Alati will be conducted at 3 am.
Thereafter, the temple will be open for darshan by devotees till 1 pm.
From 1 pm till the end of the inspection, the devotees will not be allowed to have darshan of the deities. But the devotees will be allowed to buy Mahaprasada by entering the temple through the Singhadwara entrance and then crossing the Baisi Pabaccha to reach the Ananda Bazara and then exit the temple via the Uttara Dwara.
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will inspect the Ratna Bhandar of Puri Jagannath Temple on September 18.
According to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), a 10-member ASI team led by Additional Director General of ASI Janhwij Sharma will carry out the inspection of the Ratna Bhandar.
The Director and a senior Scientist of the Hyderabad-based National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), Joint Director General (Conservation) of the ASI, two structural engineers and one Chemist are also part of the team.
