Decomposed Leopard Carcass Found in Boudh

Boudh: The decomposed carcass of a leopard was located in a nullah in the Podahada reserve forest under the Madhapur Forest Range in Boudh district on Wednesday night.

According to forest officials, initial findings hint that the big cat died 5-7 days back.

Postmortem of the dead animal was conducted and its samples have been collected for further tests. The exact cause of death will be known only after the reports come up.

According to reports, around 90 per cent of the dead leopard’s body was decomposed, which makes it hard to determine the cause of death.

The forest officials have ruled out poaching as the cause of this leopard death.
