New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for the fifth time in connection with the money laundering case related to the Delhi liquor policy case.
Kejriwal has so far skipped four summons issued by the ED. He did not appear before the ED on January 18, when the agency issued a fourth summons to him. He preferred to visit Goa instead with Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and other AAP leaders.
Till now Kejriwal is skipping the ED summons saying he is not an accused. Kejriwal received a third summons of ED to appear before it for questioning on January 3. At that time, he skipped the summons, terming it “illegal” and also took the plea of his party’s preparation for the Rajya Sabha election in Delhi and Republic Day celebrations.
He did not appear before the ED on November 2 and December 21 in 2023.
