Fifth Killer Wolf Captured in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich

Lucknow: The fifth wolf of the pack of six wolves that terrorised inhabitants of Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich was captured by forest officials on Tuesday under the ‘Operation Bhediya’.

This wolf was captured from Harbaksh Purwa village in Bahraich district. It was tracked down near the Ghaghara river, where another wolf was caught a few days back. Now only one wolf of this killer pack is out in the open in Bahraich.

Around 35 villages in the Bahraich district are on high alert following wolf attacks that have claimed 10 lives, including nine children, in the past one and half months. These man-eater wolves have injured at least 36 people in the Bahraich district as well.
