Fire Accident at Baripada’s PRM Medical College & Hospital, Patients Evacuated

Baripada: A major fire accident occurred at Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital in Baripada on Friday afternoon.

Smoke was first detected in the gynecology department on the third floor of the medical college hospital. Panic gripped among the patients and hospital staff as this floor also has the ICU units.

As the fire started to expand, patients and all others were evacuated from the third floor of the hospital building.

The fire brigade rushed to the spot to start the operation to extinguish the fire.

Though the exact reason behind the fire accident has not been ascertained, yet it is suspected that a short circuit may be the reason.
