First AC Aahaar Kendra With Modern Facilities on Anvil at Cuttack Netaji Bus Terminal

Cuttack: The Aahaar Kendra coming up at the Cuttack Netaji Bus Terminal (CNBT) will be a class apart. It will be a centrally air-conditioned Aahaar Kendra with the capacity to accommodate up to 1,000 persons at a time.

It is being built on a 5,800 square feet area on the premises of the under-construction CNBT. The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) is spending Rs 1.8 crore on this ultra-modern Aahaar Kendra.

This Aahaar Kendra will provide a pleasant dining experience to the commoners which will be no less than any upmarket restaurant.

The center will be equipped with amenities like refrigeration and freezer units, as well as a heater for milk boiling. It will have a book rack showcasing various magazines and newspapers. The food in this Aahaar Kendra will be always warm because of the ‘hot plates’ facility.

LED screens will be placed to entertain people having their meal. Dish cleaning will be done through an automated dishwasher.

It will have chairs designed for infants, child-friendly wash basins, and special wash basins for the divyang. Hand driers will be there near wash basins.

There will be a cloakroom for baggage storage. Apart from the usual offerings, the center will provide breakfast and evening snacks. The preparation of food items, as well as the operation of this Aahaar Kendra, has been entrusted to the Maa Tarini Self Help Group (SHG).
