Girl Kidnapped 17 Years Back Found in Delhi

New Delhi: A woman kidnapped 17 years ago in 2006 was located in Delhi’s Gorakhpuri. Now this woman is 32 years old, which means she was a minor of 17 years during her abduction.

On May 22, personnel of Seemapuri Police Station on secret information traced the kidnapped girl aged 32 years, who was kidnapped 17 years ago.

A case was registered under section 363 IPC in 2006 at Gokulpuri Police Station, Delhi regarding the kidnapping of the girl.

During the investigation, the girl disclosed that after leaving her house she was residing with a person namely Deepak in the village Cherdih District Baliya, UP and thereafter she left Deepak following some dispute during the lockdown and started living in Gokalpuri in a rented accommodation, police stated.

According to Shahdara police, 116 kidnapped/abducted children/persons, and 301 missing persons were recovered by Shahdara district to date in 2023.
