Goods Train Derails in Bhubaneswar; Several Trains Cancelled, Rescheduled

Bhubaneswar: Eight coaches of a goods train derailed near the Mancheswar railway level crossing in Bhubaneswar at around 1:30 am on Monday.

Railway officials have rushed to the spot to probe the incident. The railway tracks are being cleared to resume the movement of other trains operating on the route.

The derailment has affected the schedule of trains passing through the route. Some of them were short terminated and some others were rescheduled.

No casualties have been reported by railway officials.

The down line was cleared for the train movement at around 5 am and now the trains are running in both Up and Down lines, the release of East Coast Railways stated, adding that there is no damage to life or property in the incident.
