JD(S) Leader HD Revanna Granted Bail in Sexual Assault Case

Bengaluru: A Bengaluru court on Monday granted bail to JD(S) MLA and former Karnataka Minister HD Revanna in a sexual assault case.

The case, which stems from allegations of sexual assault, implicates both HD Revanna and his son, Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, in the incident.

The court’s decision comes after Revanna had previously secured interim relief. Judge Preeth J dismissed objections raised by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and ordered bail for the JD(S) leader.

The sexual assault case against Revanna and his son was registered on April 28 at the Holenarasipura town police station, based on the house help’s complaint. While Revanna was arrested on May 4 and remanded into judicial custody, his son Prajwal Revanna reportedly fled to Germany on April 27.

Interpol has issued a Blue Corner Notice against Prajwal Revanna, who remains at large in the sexual assault case. An arrest warrant has also been issued against the MP.
