Heavy Rains Waterlog Konark Sun Temple

Konark: Heavy rain caused by a low-pressure system has waterlogged the Konark Sun Temple causing much inconvenience for tourists.

The Konark Sun Temple premise is filled with ankle-deep rainwater, said reports. The road leading to the Sun Temple is also submerged. The tourists have to wade through the waterlogged road to reach the UNESCO Heritage monument. The authorities are trying hard to clear the rainwater from the Sun Temple premises by using pumps.

Konark Sun Temple faces regular water logging during the rainy season. Locals are demanding a permanent solution to the problem.
