“Will Finish the War I Waged”: Hemant Soren Defiant After Bail in Land Scam Case

Ranchi: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, released on bail today, has claimed that he was wrongly accused in a money laundering case that led to his five-month imprisonment. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) executive president spoke out against what he perceives as a conspiracy to silence political opposition.

Soren was granted bail by the Jharkhand High Court in a land scam-related money laundering case. Upon his release from Birsa Munda Jail, he expressed concern over the suppression of voices from political leaders, social workers, and journalists. Without naming the BJP, Soren hinted at political motifs behind his arrest.

The former CM vowed to continue his efforts, stating, “I will finish the task I started, the war I waged.” He emphasised his respect for the judiciary while noting the lengthy nature of legal proceedings. Soren alleged that those who raise their voice against the Central Government are being suppressed.

Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on January 31.
