Herd of a Dozen Elephants Trapped in Tel River in Boudh Dist

Boudh: A wild elephant herd comprising a dozen pachyderms was found to be trapped in the middle of the Tel river near Manikpur village in Kantamal forest range of Boudh district on Thursday.

According to forest officials, this wild elephant herd while trying to cross the river was stuck in the middle due to sudden rise in water level.

This elephant herd is reported to have come out of the Sunadei jungle.

Villagers of the area saw the stranded elephant herd in the middle of the river and informed the forest officials. Efforts are on to lead the elephant herd out of the river.
