Indian Origin Astronaut Sunita Williams Travels to Space for 3rd Time

Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams travelled to space for the third time on Wednesday along with a colleague Butch Wilmore aboard Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft on her way to the International Space Station.

She scripted history as one of the first humans to travel on Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft. She is also the first woman to take up such a space mission.

Boeing’s Crew Flight Test mission with Williams and Wilmore was launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida after multiple delays.

Williams (58) is the pilot for the test flight and Wilmore (61) is the commander of the space mission.
