Thousands Of Fans Flock Mumbai’s Marine Drive for Team India’s Victory Parade

Mumbai: The T20 World Cup-winning Indian cricket team will soon embark on an open bus roadshow in Mumbai.

A specially designed open-top bus will carry the champions through the city streets, culminating in a felicitation ceremony at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.

The victory parade will run from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium, where the team will be honoured by the BCCI.

Given the expected high turnout, Western Railway has announced enhanced security measures at Churchgate, Marine Lines, and Charni Road stations. Additional ticket-checking staff have been deployed, and extra UTS windows at Churchgate will remain operational until midnight to manage the expected surge in commuters.

Fans have been flocking to south Mumbai since afternoon, eager to catch a glimpse of their cricketing heroes.

Earlier, the Rohit Sharma-led team arrived in New Delhi from Barbados, having been delayed by Hurricane Beryl. They met Prime Minister Narendra Modi before heading to Mumbai for the celebratory events.

Mumbai Police have implemented stringent security measures and traffic diversions to ensure the smooth conduct of the parade and the safety of the spectators.
