Inebriated Man Kills Mother Following Quarrel Over Fish Fry In Balasore Dist

Balasore: In an inebriated state, a man named Arun Mohanty allegedly strangled his mother to death at the Kanchapada village in the Soro block of Balasore on Tuesday night.

According to reports, Arun was under the influence of alcohol when he started a quarrel with his family members over dinner. He became angry because there was no non-veg dish in the meal served to him.

It is alleged that in a rage Arun strangled his mother to death. The deceased was identified is Basanti Mohanty. Arun was enraged because his mother had not cooked fish fry for him.

Kavita, the wife of the accused also faced her husband’s attack when she tried to save her mother-in-law.

Police have detained the accused son and started an investigation.
