Inter-State Drugs racket Busted in Malkangiri, 6 arrested

Malkangiri: An inter-state drugs racket was unearthed by Kalimela police in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Thursday. Six persons were arrested and 50 kg of marijuana, 1.6 gm of brown sugar was seized from their possession.

Personnel of the Kalimela police station intercepted a car on National Highway No. 326 during patrolling on Thursday night. During the search of the vehicle, the hidden narcotics were unearthed.

Added to it, police also seized Rs 1,46,000 and two cars involved in the narcotics smuggling.

Out of the six persons arrested, five were from outside Odisha, said Malkangiri ASP Rahul Goel.
