A Lebanese photographer was killed, and six other reporters were injured during attacks of Israel on Lebanon’s southern village of Alma al-Shaab.
Israeli forces attacked a vehicle carrying journalists. A Lebanese photographer working for Reuters, Issam Abdallah, was killed in this attack. Six other reporters working for international news agencies that including Agence France-Presse (AFP) and Al-Jazeera TV channel were injured.
This attack occurred on Friday. The injured were admitted to a hospital.
Lebanon’s Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned Israel for “directly targeting journalists” in its attacks on Lebanon.
Israel on Friday bombarded the area around the towns of Al-Dhahira, Alma al-Shaab, and Yarin in Lebanon that has bases of Hezbollah.
The tension on the Lebanese-Israeli border escalated after Hezbollah on October 8 fired dozens of missiles towards military sites in of Israel.
