Israeli Strike Kills Al Jazeera Cameraman, Reporter Injured

A Palestinian cameraman working for Al Jazeera television network was killed and its chief Gaza reporter was injured in an Israeli drone attack.

The cameraman Samer Abu Daqqa and reporter Wael Dahdouh were in a school in the southern city of Khan Younis when an Israeli drone launched a second strike on the school.

Abu Daqqa fell to the ground, bleeding profusely. Seriously injured Dahdouh managed to escape and was admitted to a hospital.

Al Jazeera reported that Abu Daqqa was discovered dead on Friday night by a civil defence team.

The Israel-Hamas conflict has till now claimed the lives of 64 journalists, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists. They include three Lebanese journalists, four Israelis, and 57 Palestinians.
