Labourer Electrocuted to Death in Balangir District

Balangir: A labourer identified as Kumar Harpal was electrocuted to death on Saturday when he came in contact with a high voltage live wire while cutting a tree at Dunguripada in Bolangir district.

The deceased from Kalijharan village was employed by a person of Dunguripada to cut a tree near his house. Accidentally a branch of the tree which he was cutting came in contact with a live wire and he died on the spot.

Upon being informed, police reached the spot, seized the body and sent it for postmortem. An investigation has been initiated by the police in this connection.
