Life Imprisonment for Mother, Stepfather for Killing Their Minor Daughter

Balasore: The District and Sessions court in Balasore awarded life sentences to a mother and stepfather for murdering their minor daughter.

The District and Sessions Judge, Balasore, Biswajit Das, convicted Baby Biwi and her second husband SK Abdul Rahim and sentenced the duo to life imprisonment for their heinous offence.

A fine of Rs 5000 was also imposed on the convicted couple, failing which they will undergo an additional jail sentence of 6 months.

According to reports, in 2022, Biwi along with her second husband, had killed her 13-year-old daughter, born to her first husband.

The deceased girl’s father Sheikh Qutbuddin, who was the first husband of the woman, had filed a complaint at the Balasore Town Police Station on June 22, 2022.
