Man Burns His Father Alive Over Land Dispute in Balangir Dist

Balangir: A man allegedly burnt his father alive over a land dispute at Dorlo village under Titlagargh police station limits in the Balangir district on Tuesday.

The deceased, identified as Gopinath Bharasagar was set afire by his son Mohan Bharasagar. The accused has absconded after committing the crime.

According to sources, Mohan and his father had a heated altercation over the land dispute. In a rage, Mohan poured petrol on his father and set him on fire.

After getting information from the villagers, local police reached the spot and seized the charred body of the victim.

The body was sent for post-mortem and a search has been initiated to arrest Mohan.
