Man Sacrifices His Life to Save 8-Yr-Old Son’s Life

Cuttack: A man drowned in the Kathajodi River while trying to save his eight-year-old son at Kayibarta Sahi Ghat in the Naraj area in the Cuttack district on Sunday.

According to reports, on Sunday morning, the deceased identified as Saroj Sahoo of Naraj area had gone to bathe in the Kathajodi River along with his 8-year-old son.

When his son slipped and started to drown, Saroj made all possible effort to save his son. Saroj managed to save his son. But Saroj got trapped in the deep water.

The locals rescued Saroj in critical condition and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.
