Man With 1 Kg Gold Arrested from Dhauli Express in Cuttack

Cuttack: A man from West Bengal travelling with around 1 Kg gold in the Puri-Howrah Dhauli Express was arrested by the Cuttack unit of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Tuesday.

On the basis of reliable source information, a team of officers and staff Cuttack RPF conducted raid and check in train No.12822 [Puri- Howrah] Dhauli Express and nabbed Palash Patra (37) of Ghantal village in West Bengal travelling in an AC compartment of the train.

The team recovered gold ornaments weighing about one Kg worth around Rs 70,00,000 was seized from his possession.

Patra was transporting the gold ornaments without any documents, so legal action will be taken against him as per the law.
