Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer Manoj Ahuja has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Odisha. Ahuja, an experienced diplomat, will take over from the current Chief Secretary, PK Jena.
The General Administration & Public Grievance Department has released a notification confirming the appointment.
Previously, the committee had approved the repatriation of the 1990 batch Odisha cadre IAS officer to his parent cadre. “The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the repatriation of Shri Manoj Ahuja, IAS (OR:90), Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, to his parent cadre on the request of the Government of Odisha,” stated a notification issued by the Secretary, Appointments Committee of the Cabinet & Establishment Officer on June 25, 2024.
Manoj Ahuja will succeed the current Chief Secretary, Pradeep Kumar Jena, who is set to retire on June 30, 2024.
