Mother Of Pune Teen, Who Ran Over 2 Techies With Porsche, Arrested for Swapping Blood Sample

Pune: The mother of the Pune teen, who ran over two IT professionals while driving a Porsche car in a drunken state, was arrested by the police. His mother is alleged to have swapped her blood sample in order to prove that her son wasn’t under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. Investigation by the Pune police has ascertained that the minor’s blood samples were replaced with those of his mother.

The 17-year-old accused has been sent to an observation home. His grandfather and father were arrested for allegedly kidnapping the family’s driver to put pressure on him to take the blame of the accident.

The teen’s mother had earlier appeared in a video message in which she had said that a viral video purportedly featuring her son was a fake. She had also appealed to the police to “protect” her son.

Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Kostha, 24-year-old engineers from Madhya Pradesh, were killed when the speeding Porsche driven by the drunk teen hit their bike from backside late on May 19.
