Mother of Sex Crimes Accused Prajwal Revanna on the Run from Police

Bengaluru: Bhavani Revanna, the mother of suspended JD(S) MP and sex crimes accused Prajwal Revanna, is said to be absconding to escape the police as she was not found at her home on Saturday despite notices sent to her to be present there.

Prajwal Revanna’s father HD Revanna is also an accused in sexual harassment and kidnapping cases.

Bhavani Revanna is the daighter-in-law of former Prime Minister and JDS leader HD Deve Gowda.

Bhavani Revanna’s plea for protection from arrest was rejected by a Karnataka court on Friday. The special investigation team (SIT) investigating the sex crimes allegations against Prajwal Revanna has said they need to look into Bhavani Revanna’s alleged role in the kidnapping case of their house help.

The SIT sent a notice to her asking her to be at her home, Channambika Niwas in Holenarasipur in connection with KR Nagar Kidnap case.

But the SIT officers did not find her at her residence. Her mobile phone was switched off, sources said. The SIT still has time till 5 pm to wait for her, in case she decides to return.
