Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha CM and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik has planned to take up a tour across Odisha starting from November to interact with people and grassroots BJD workers.
This was decided at BJD’s first state coordination committee meeting chaired by Debi Prasad Mishra on Thursday. During the meeting, the former CM expressed his desire to tour across the state and meet people and party workers to boost their morale after the Assembly election defeat.
He urged the BJD leaders to be active in public service and use social media to inform people about BJD’s future plans and programmes.
Naveen Patnaik has formed a 15-member committee to coordinate with the districts and oversee all the activities of the party. The BJD president had dissolved the state office bearers’ panel.
The state coordination committee led by Debi Prasad Mishra has proposed the BJD president for organisational restructuring.
