Neeraj Chopra, Kishore Jena Faceoff in Federation Cup finals in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Federation Cup finals in Bhubaneswar on May 15 will witness a faceoff between star Indian javelin throwers Neeraj Chopra and Kishore Jena.

Both have received direct entry into the finals by bettering the minimum qualification mark of 75m multiple times in their careers.

Olympic and world champion Chopra in his outing at the Doha Diamond League last week threw 88.38m to finish second.

Asian Games silver-winner Odisha’s Jena had a throw of 76.31m in his Diamond League debut. He was eliminated after three rounds.

DP Manu, who finished sixth in the 2023 World Championships and who is looking to qualify for the upcoming Paris Olympics by breaching the 85.50m mark, will also compete directly in the Federation Cup finals in Bhubaneswar.
