Nine Die as Temple Collapses in Shimla of Himachal Pradesh

Shimla: Nine persons died when a Shiva temple collapsed in Himachal Pradesh’s capital on Monday because of heavy rains.

According to reports, at the time of the mishap, around 25-30 people were taking shelter in the temple.

Five persons were rescued from the debris of the temple. Search operation for other persons is on.

Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu confirmed this mishap and said as of now nine bodies have been retrieved.

“The local administration is diligently working to clear the debris in order to rescue individuals who may still be trapped,” he said in a statement
