Bhubaneswar, Khurda, Puri Declared No-Fly Zones Ahead of President Murmu’s Visit

Bhubaneswar: Puri, Khurda, and Bhubaneswar have been designated as no-fly and no-drone zones in anticipation of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Odisha later this week, according to the Directorate of Intelligence on Tuesday.

These restrictions are part of the heightened security measures for the President’s visit from July 6-9.

President Murmu is scheduled to arrive on July 6 and will attend a program at Jaydev Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, commemorating the 90th death anniversary of Utkalamani Gopabandhu Das. On July 7, she will participate in the Rath Yatra in Puri, marking her first attendance at the event as President. She will stay overnight in Puri and take a morning walk on the beach on July 8. Later that day, she will visit the Khandagiri and Udayagiri caves in Bhubaneswar, interact with students at Bibhuti Kanungo College of Arts and Crafts, and attend an event by Brahma Kumaris at Andharua.

On July 9, President Murmu will preside over the 13th convocation of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Jatni before returning to Delhi.
